Full-Time Manager of Health Services
Job Description
Benchmark Human Services has grown to become one of the most respected leaders in the country in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health. We work with people at home, at work, and in the community through residential, employment, crisis response, behavioral, recovery, children, and day services. Manager of Health Services would assist with clinical nursing oversight and report to the Chief Nursing Officer.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide oversight, development, and implementation of health-related compliance, regulatory requirements, and consistency of health services throughout the organization including residential and crisis services. Develop and/or update curriculum materials used to train staff on health-related issues. Assist in ensuring competency of nurses and provide clinical direction when indicated. Assist with the collection and analyzation of health-related outcomes and quality measures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a clinical resource and liaison for program related health services.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of nursing standardization and best practice for Benchmark nurses, as applicable.
- Develop, provide training, and assist with implementation for health-related topics, policies, and procedures as requested.
- Lead or participate in assigned committees, meetings, and trainings.
- Perform health care compliance audits including compiling and tracking data, develop action plans as needed. This would include periodic office site and home reviews.
- Perform quarterly health care trend data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Track and trend company-wide monthly nursing reports, including med errors, health concerns, high risk areas, infections, etc.
- Review and respond to health-related reportable incidents when indicated.
- Assist in planning and organizing nurse and nurse director meetings. Disseminate information, minutes, and action plans as directed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform clinical oversight
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to complete assignments accurately and timely with attention to detail
- Good computer, written, and oral communication skills
- Some travel is required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN license, Bachelor degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience working in long term care/community nursing or with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental illness is preferred.
- Valid State Nursing License and Driver’s License.
- 5 years of supervision and health-related compliance responsibilities is required
