Full-Time Manager in Training Program
Job Description
The Manager in Training (MIT) Program is designed to prepare the trainee for a future leadership position in one of our home building facilities and/or support operations, dependent on their interest, skill set, experience, and needs of the home building group.
This is a hands-on learning environment in a manufacturing production setting. The trainee works alongside our supervisors who serve as their mentor in all phases of the home building process. The MIT trainee will gain focused knowledge in business and manufacturing production management, the home building process, as well as core leadership training.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Observe experienced team members and gain knowledge about processes, procedures, and standards required for each training program area.
- Complete the structured training program while rotating through assignments in our manufacturing process.
- Actively participate in MIT meetings to develop and refine the training curriculum.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; any prior construction experience a huge plus.
- Ability to relocate upon graduation from the program.
- Very organized with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Able to interact effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent planning and follow-up skills; Ability to multi-task is essential.
