Part-Time Maintenance Helper
Job Description
Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in connection with the maintenance of County parks, roads, utility plants, pipelines, drainage ditches, and other facilities.
Positions in this classification are temporary and part-time only. It is intended to facilitate the accomplishment of seasonal workload requirements. Employees in this classification are given close supervision and do not perform the more skilled assignments.
$17.38 per hour, limited to 1560 hours per year.

Physical Abilities: In some positions incumbents will be required to perform heavy manual labor, which may include such tasks as digging ditches, lifting and carrying of materials such as cement bags, frequent walking and/or standing, and lifting, carrying or throwing shovelsfull of paving material. Working Conditions: Incumbents in this class are required to work out of doors in all kinds of weather and under dusty, dirty as well as hazardous conditions, and are subject to emergency or on-call work at other than normal duty hours.148 total views, 0 today
