Temporary LTE Museum Education Coordinator
Job Description
Location: Oshkosh, WI

Salary: This position is an hourly, non-exempt LTE position. The hourly range is $18.00 – $20.50.
The Oshkosh Public Museum is searching for an LTE Education Coordinator. The Education Coordinator creates and facilitates education and enrichment programming relevant to students, teachers, families, and adult audiences. This position requires excellent people skills and the ability to communicate with visitors from a variety of backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives as well as energy and enthusiasm to help develop the museum as an extraordinary community, cultural, and educational resource.
Specific duties include:
- Deliver onsite education programs including school field trips, family programs, and adult programs.
- Coordinate off-site outreach such as booking and maintaining Inquiry Kits, organizing classroom visits, and off-site programming.
- Support and participate in developing educational offerings by writing plans for interactive programs, developing tours, and creating hands-on activities.
- Support the volunteer program through liaising with city staff, conducting training, and working with museum staff to fulfill exhibit or event volunteer needs.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Minimum of one year of experience working with Pre-K through 6th grade students. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field may be substituted for experience.
- Two or more years of experience working as a museum educator, teacher in a K-12 classroom, or other professional education experience.
- Experience leading volunteers.
- Valid driver’s license.
