Part-Time Logistics Officer
Job Description
British Swimming is seeking a part time Logistics Officer to join our world class aquatics team, on a part time, fixed term for six months, reporting to the Head of Performance Team Development and Planning.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the effective implementation of the programme’s logistical arrangements for all activities of the Olympic Swimming, Paralympic Swimming and Olympic Diving programmes as directed by the World Class Leadership Team.
The successful individual will be able to have previous experience of long term planning of national high performance sport programmes and events, specifically camps and competition activity, project administration and budget planning.
They will need to be able to work effectively under pressure, be adaptable, work on their own initiative on their own or as part of a diverse team and with the Logistics Managers, be willing to travel (occasionally), possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to build positive working relationships quickly.
Experience of working within aquatics and a working knowledge of international aquatics events would be advantageous.
