Under the leadership of the Legal Administrative Support Manager, this position will be the vital link between attorneys, clients, and the support staff at our firm. You’ll craft legal documents, engage with clients, and maintain seamless collaboration across the office, ensuring deadlines are met and confidentiality is upheld. After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports multiple attorneys and paralegals as primary assignment in the preparation of client benefit documents and employment-based petitions.
  • Coordinates and performs administrative tasks for the employee benefits practice group, including client and matter openings.
  • Gathers and summarizes data for reporting utilizing software programs specific to the practice area.
  • Answers and screens calls in a courteous and timely manner and provides client assistance when needed.
  • Requests conflict of interest reports with File Opening/Conflicts, opens new clients and/or matters, and maintains all client and general files.  Conducts periodic review for possible storage of older files and prepares files to be closed.
  • Processes bills under traditional hourly and fixed-fee billing structures; proofs billing statements; reviews and edits bills.

 

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate Degree is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of litigation legal experience required; three (3) to five (5) years preferred.
