Full-Time Lead, Data Strategy & Operations – Cabenuva (Open)

Job Description

The Lead Data Strategy and Operations – Cabenuva position is responsible for leading the coordination, integration, reporting and analytics of HCP (healthcare provider) and consumer related data for Cabenuva, an injectable HIV treatment administered by healthcare professionals. This position partners with key US Commercial stakeholders to uphold data quality, compliance, and its effective utilization.  The role will create the vision and develop the data and reporting strategy to inform our view of the HCPs and consumers. Data sources encompass ViiV-contracted vendors, internal data, publicly available data, and other repositories. Data scope spans national, subnational, community organization, HCP, consumer, specialty, patient, and product. The manager will provide oversight of the processes to ensure compliance with ViiV SOPs and policies, and proper utilization, access, and usage of such data. While the primary focus is on Cabenuva and Specialty, this role extends to other initiatives. The ideal candidate exhibits strong analytical prowess coupled with exceptional leadership, collaboration, business acumen, communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

The individual will effectively partner with multiple cross functional team members within data strategy and operations, advanced analytics, business intelligence, HCP marketing, DTC marketing, field sales, medical, payer, consumer, patient access, specialty, finance, forecasting, field execution, incentive compensation, digital, channel distribution, external specialty pharmacy vendors, IT, legal, compliance and privacy.

Data Strategy, Data Coordination and Operations

  • Lead designated initiatives and continually refine the data strategy to comprehensively characterize, measure, and monitor the HIV market. Oversee teams implementing this strategy.

  • Implement methods, processes, and systems to transform data into actionable business insights.

  • Serve as a data subject matter expert, collaborating with other analytics teams and advising key stakeholders on data strategy, usage, and reporting.

  • Govern the development and utilization of data tools, capabilities, and products through standards, processes, technology, and workforce.

  • Ensure clear definition, risk management, resource allocation, and quality control for strategies and projects.

  • Employ creativity and agility to identify and leverage the most relevant and suitable data sources.

  • Collaborate with team members to acquire, integrate, and provide access to data while maintaining data quality.

  • Propose innovative approaches to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Establish and maintain SOPs, databases, and records.

  • Identify and communicate potential conflicts with SAS SOPs and policies to relevant parties.

  • Ensure alignment of initiatives with SOPs and policies.

Specialty Pharmacy Data and Alternate Site of Care Processing

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on specialty pharmacy, alternate sites of care, data aggregator, and data integrator initiatives.

  • Liaise with specialty pharmacy and alternate site of care vendors to ensure timely, high-quality, and complete data.

  • Lead the development and delivery of key metrics and scorecards to assess specialty pharmacy performance and payments.

  • Work closely with data aggregator and data integrator vendors to ensure efficient, high-quality data feeds and processing.

  • Coordinate with specialty pharmacy, field, payer, operations, and channel strategy teams to ensure effective data collection and utilization.

Program Tracking

  • Partner with business teams to provide insights for the product brand, analyze data to identify trends and insights, facilitating informed decision-making.

  • Collaborate with business partners to define KPIs, metrics, and report designs for tracking HIV performance.

  • Provide a functional understanding and linkage between the technical representation of KRIs and the businesses / functions application of them to ensure that interpretation, validation, and presentation is accurate and actionable.

  • Implement reports and dashboards in collaboration with peers.

  • Analyze specialty pharmacy program data to evaluate program performance, identify execution gaps, and present findings to the specialty pharmacy team.

 Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical type of function, which can include consulting, primary quantitative market research, secondary data analysis, forecasting, or business intelligence.

  • Hands on experience with database manipulation, using analytics, and business intelligence tools.

  • Experience managing complex projects and data sets.

  • Experience with of common pharmaceutical, consumer, specialty, and/or payer data bases/services.

  • Experience delivering results and working in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.​

  • Experience with HIV or PrEP related data, analytics, and therapies.

  • Consulting experience and experiences of analyzing patient/claims data is highly desired.

  • Ability to translate unstructured data into actionable insights.

  • Creative thinker who is intellectually curious.

  • A high attention to detail.

  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to forge ahead on initiatives not done before, recognizing there will be obstacles to overcome along the way.

  • Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, quantitative skills, communication skills, and project management.

  • Experience with knowledge of and understanding of specialty customer metrics to assess success of specialty pharmacy programs.

  • Experience and understanding of consumer data, metrics, tracking and analytics.

  • Experience with the specialty pharmacy and payer segment with a preference for specialty pharmacy/alternate site of care experience.
