Job Description
Are you passionate about creating effective systems of support for justice involved youth in Multnomah County? Do you have the drive to lead institutional change that will transform juvenile justice in Multnomah County?
This exciting opportunity will be the leader driving the creation of a Youth Justice Advisory Board in collaboration with our Community Healing Initiative (CHI) partners and the Multnomah Youth Commission, as well as other opportunities for youth, parents and victims to inform the juvenile justice system leaders in Multnomah County.
As the Reform Coordinator (Program Specialist Senior), you would be our subject matter expert on youth-adult partnerships (i.e. how to integrate youth voice/participation into our collaborative reform efforts) and advise our division leadership on how to integrate youth into program and policy decision making (e.g. how to incorporate feedback from youth in detention when looking at their visiting policies).
You will be our subject matter expert on transforming juvenile probation, which is a national change initiative that we are implementing locally. You would be advising our Juvenile Division leadership on how to adapt our programs, practices, and policies to align with national best practices in juvenile probation.
Additionally, you will oversee the Community Healing Initiative Prevention Program, involving four different community-based organizations.
