Job description

Right now, we are recruiting a Junior ServiceNow Developer to work in our End User Compute Services team.

As a Junior ServiceNow Developer you will work in a multidisciplinary team participating in agile ceremonies to develop solutions to business problems and translate these into effective workflows, supporting end-to-end business processes using ServiceNow’s best practice tools and technology. You will focus on delivering value to our users and improving the customer experience.
We are looking for a Junior ServiceNow Developer who has experience working in the following areas:

  • IT Service Management (ITSM),
  • IT Business Management (ITBM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM) or
  • Integration Hub.

    We are looking for you to deliver workflow solutions in line with product goals and delivery cycles, while working openly and collaboratively in our team. Above all, you will want to make an impact, which may sometimes involve challenging current methods.
    Working within our growing team, we have new potential and exciting opportunities to introduce new features and functionality available from the ServiceNow platform. You might be working on things like improving existing workflows and identifying opportunities for automation.

    As a Junior ServiceNow Developer, you will also provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions. You will be expected to have basic administration level experience for technical configuration and development of the ServiceNow toolset.

Responsibilities

Your area of responsibility will include but not be limited to:

  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies.
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Building solutions and processes that meets the needs of our users.
  • Support maintenance, continual service improvement, and new requirements.
  • Create design specifications based on out-of-the-box functionality and user needs.
  • Providing technical input on the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and insights on the preferred/best practice way to implement solutions.
  • Be actively engaged with user needs in a technical and business setting.
  • Technical delivery (including development, testing and implementation) using several technical skills such as HTML, XML, JavaScript/AJAX, Angular J, Bootstrap, Integrations, web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc.
  • Knowledge of technical components such as API’s, LDAP, VPN, SSL, SSO, Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and other such technologies.
  • Collaborate, support and share experiences.
  • Proactively keeps ServiceNow skills current.

    About You:

    It is essential that you have experience of:

  • Configuring workflows using best practice methods.
  • Meeting user needs by design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, technical solutions, such as client scripts, UI pages/actions/policies, scheduled job, import sets and transform maps, ACLs and notifications.
  • Working in scrum/agile team understanding the software development lifecycle.
  • Active Knowledge Sharing with colleagues at all levels.
  • Awareness of security configuration requirements.
