Full-Time Junior Footwear Technologist

Our Junior Footwear Technologist will work closely with the Footwear Technologists to develop and update products whilst maintaining quality standards, ensuring Matalan product provides excellent value for money for its customers.
Part of your role is responsiblity for delivering gold seal status enabling shipping approval, assisting in fit sessions and delivering returns analysis across the department, working closing with Buying, eCommerce and our off shore suppliy base.
The Role
- Using our Yunique PLM system, closely inspect review and process gold seal approval and deliver to suppliers – this may entail measuring and reviewing test reports.
- Assisting Technologists in fit sessions by organising samples and paperwork, taking notes and offering solutions to fit queries
- Assisting in the delivery of monthly detailed returns reports using Power BI, reviewing stock and offering improvements to help drive down Returns %
- Working in an organised and timely manner prioritising comments whilst still ensuring consistent attention to detail
- Assisting in collating information for ecom driven emails for our website and customer services.
- Good communication skills and proficient in using MS office is essential for day to day tasks.

About You

- Graduate with a footwear related degree at classification 2:1 or above would be ideal, but we will consider other fashion based sunjects as well
- Commercially focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work independently
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
