Full-Time IT Project Management – Manager
Job Description
The WSLCB Information Technology Services Division is announcing an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager position in Olympia, WA. The IT Project Manager will independently establish and enforce the IT project management governance established by the Senior IT Project Manager, to the implement technology products and service enhancements, upgrades, modifications and replacement deemed in scope for the Systems Modernization Project(SMP). In this role, you will independently work on all levels of assigned areas and provide guidance to staff members on complex issues. In this position you must provide practical/relevant ideas and perspectives on processes and practices and apply advanced knowledge and skill to complete complex tasks, adapt to the situation at hand, and guide others to do the same.
This position is responsible for supporting the management of SMP and helping ensure compliance with the Office of the Chief Information Officer(OCIO) and Office of Financial Management(OFM) policies and standards and will regularly report project status in areas of assignment to the Executive Sponsors and Steering Committee members, escalates issues, risks and decisions to the Steering Committee and or Executive Sponsor as appropriate, develop executive briefing documents when required to aid in the decision-making process and ensure risk mitigations, issue resolutions, and decisions are implemented. Additionally, you will work on cross-disciplinary teams of both technical and business professionals, maintaining appropriate technology standards, executing policy, managing an assigned budget, and managing complex technology contracts.
