Full-Time Logistics & Distribution Analyst
Job Description
Summary
Provides analytical and operational support for the Company’s US Regional Service Centers (RSC). This function includes but is not limited to inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management. This individual is also responsible for ensuring the Operation’s Department conforms to the company’s quality systems.
Essential Functions
- Interfaces on a daily basis with Customer Care, Quality, Safety, Technical Support, Branch Managers, Distribution Associates, and other department members on matters related to INOmax domestic distribution and logistics activities.
- Support the Operations department in organizing resources and establishing routing distribution priorities for five Regional Service Centers (RSC’s) using routing software and SAP.
- Coordinates time critical requests from Customer Care on a daily basis, 24/7, in the most cost-effective manner
- Assist in the evaluation of service performance and routing efficiency. Makes recommendations to best serve customers.
- Monitors RSC licenses and escalates any issues.
- Monitors and resolves cylinder download service requests from Customer Care and Port Allen
- Resolves workflow problems and conflicts by analyzing impediments and organizing work to maximize use of personnel and material resources.
- Coordinates relevant Operational and Inventory Control reports using SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Provides analytical support for various projects.
- Participates and leads projects as assigned.
- Provides SAP support to Customer Care and RSCs
- Alternate to International and Regional Service Centers Physical Inventories
- Alternate to Inventory Control functions – INOmax disposables / service parts demand and forecast, Regional Service Center requests and depot stock inventory replenishments, International orders request management and placement.
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred or combination of experience and education in a technical or business major.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry or GxP related experience.
- Previous experience focusing on logistics and/or inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with SAP or equivalent ERP system.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented
- Excellent Written and oral communication skills.
- Able to analyze, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage by influence, both up and down the organizational structure
- Ability to function equally well as either a functional member or leader in a team environment.
- Technical analysis and evaluation
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive problems to resolution.
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
This position interfaces with all business aspects such as RSCs, EHS, IT, Quality, and Customer Service departments. This position reports to the Inventory Control & Systems Manager. There are also significant relationships with various levels of management with regard to data gathering and reporting requests.
This position requires interaction with various internal and external department heads, corporate representatives, supervisors, and other managers on a variety of activities.
Working Conditions:
The work environment is an office setting. Work hours range 40 + hours per week.
