The Role
Spur is looking for Interns to join our team within our service lines (Business Operations, Connected Communication, Channel Marketing, Data Analytics and Application Services) and functional areas (Operations and Finance). The Intern will work closely with an assigned manager/mentor and become a fully integrated member into project teams during the internship. A combination of on-the-job learning, classroom training, and ongoing coaching and mentoring will enable the Interns to enjoy outstanding professional development and career opportunities. An Intern’s career track includes potential procurement of a full-time job offer post-graduation to be an Associate Consultant, with a promotion path to Consultant, Senior Consultant, Client Delivery Manager, and beyond for individuals looking to develop a rewarding, long-term career in consulting with The Spur Group.
Internship Duration: 8 weeks
Cohort 1: Starting June 1st
Cohort 2: Starting June 14th
What You’ll Do
- Participate in Internal client projects and related initiatives
- Conduct data analysis including basic statistical analysis using Excel or other similar tools
- Apply logic and Spur methodologies to provide recommendations to clients
- Use and develop communication skills to communicate project findings, conclusions, and recommendations with your peers
- Support consultants in the development of initial drafts of communication from emails to executive presentations
- Participate in client meetings by reviewing analytical approaches and interpreting results in support of a client
- Work closely with team members to accomplish daily tasks in support of a client
- Provide project support and complete administrative tasks

Requirements
- In the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Genuine desire to work hard and progress rapidly in the consulting profession
- Solid academic achievement thus far in pursuit of your bachelor’s degree
- Coursework in business administration, finance, economics, marketing, communications, data science, data engineering or analytics is a strong plus
- Experience with Microsoft suite of productivity tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) preferred
- Good business acumen and awareness of business trends
- Quantitative skills and general problem-solving skills for business problems
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- A passion and ability to learn quickly and resourcefully
- High degree of motivation, flexibility and creativity
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn from mentors and peers
