Temporary Interaction Designer
Job Description
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 06 Months
Position Purpose:
- Interaction Designers complete digital research, experience strategy, information architecture development, and interaction design to create exceptional digital experiences for Company’s customer facing digital products.
- Interaction Designers discover, understand, and communicate the business requirements of our partners, the emotional desires of our customers, and the context in which these two come together.
- They lead the ideation and design of breakthrough digital experiences and innovative solutions and create actionable and effective paths for customers, ensuring site-wide consistency and providing a platform for future enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design.
- Facilitate ideation workshops with business partners in order to align on elegant solutions that meet customer and business expectations and needs.
- Collaborate with user research leads to develop testing strategies, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
- Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques.
- Develop and communicate experience strategies that communicate the essence of the interactive design solution.
- Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications
- Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
- Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, project management, business and brand strategists, and hardware and software developers
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent
Experience:
- 3+ years
- Experience in site user experience design and architecture development and adaptation including experience with major site development projects. Expertise designing across platforms (responsive web, and native)
- Expertly skilled with relevant design software packages such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, InVision
- Expert knowledge of information organization
- Strong process development skills
- Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Native app and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects and complex processes
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to conceptualize the opportunities/uses of new technology with the context of business and customer needs
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing business environment
- Ability to think conceptually and analytically
