Full-Time Integration Engineer
Job Description
The Integration Engineer is a member of the Technology team reporting to the Data and Applications Manager. The successful candidate will have interest and expertise in data management and application development along with an unwavering commitment to service excellence. The Integration Engineer is responsible for integrating business applications with the Polen Capital data warehouse along with the enhancement and maintenance of those interfaces. The individual will partner with the Technology and Analytics teams to implement and enhance business applications firmwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all business units to ensure business applications fulfill all requirements; plan for enhancements to support future requirements
- Develop deep understanding of business application functionality, configuration, and integration requirements
- Master business application datasets to support data governance and data management processes
- Recommend improvements to business application integrations and data pipelines to ensure an effective and efficient operating environment
- Continuously improve and enhance applications for internal teams, business partners and clients
- Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure that all application/data integration processes and procedures are appropriately verified and secured
- Plan, organize and prioritize assignments to ensure quality and on-time delivery of project requirements
- Support teams across the firm on special projects and initiatives that impact client experience, business strategy, sales, financial analysis, investment management
- Research and recommend applications, tools, and methods to continuously improve the capabilities of the firm
- Organize and lead technical workshops on using business applications; introduce new features and capabilities
- Represent the firm with integrity and model firm values and professional standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar technical discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technology role supporting business applications and data integrations; investment management experience preferred
- Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python)
- Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs
- Experience with MDM databases, Message Queuing (e.g., Kafka), SSO and SAML preferred
- Understanding of database structures, query optimizations, ETL development and tools
- Demonstrated experience in high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong project management and self-directed prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to find creative solutions to business requirements
