Part-Time Integrated Digital Media Planner
Job Description
JK is looking for a proven growth driver, expert multitasker, and creative and strategic thinker to become our new integrated digital media planner. You’ll help develop and manage strategic digital performance campaigns for key clients, supporting a team of digital marketers. This is a unique chance to join our team as a freelancer with the possibility of transitioning to full-time status.

You’ll need to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of our clients’ business challenges and collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams. You should have a keen eye for detail, an enthusiastic approach to leading and training junior staff, and a passion for digital innovation, marketing, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal (creative, new business, accounts) and external teams (vendors and other partners) on overall strategy, planning, and execution of client campaigns.
- Assist the director of digital marketing with strategic direction of accounts.
- Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and support account growth and retention for existing and new business.
- Help inspire and develop the careers of junior team members.
- Audit and develop social media insights and content calendars.
- Identify the optimal channel mix in order to deliver on clients’ KPIs.
- Build campaign and data strategies.
- Analyze data to inform planning decisions.
- Develop testing roadmaps and conduct hypothesis-led planning.
- Forecast campaign performance (e.g., marketing ROI).
- Develop client-specific market and competitive research insights.
- Develop audience insights using available tools and resources in order to build personas and journey maps.
- Assist with account upsell opportunities and new business pitches.
Expectations
- Take ownership of projects under the direction of the director of digital marketing and with the support of the digital marketing team and other agency resources.
- Learn and create solutions that challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrate and continue to enhance understanding of digital marketing tactical execution, including content positioning and program development.
- Communicate and collaborate seamlessly with team members across all departments and disciplines.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, vendors, and other external partners.
- Facilitate and champion collaboration, inclusion, and mutual respect, promoting open communication among all team members.
- Maintain an efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in media planning across paid, owned, and earned digital channels, including experience in the B2B space.
- Media/marketing agency or in-house digital marketing experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of all digital channels and capabilities, including paid and organic social, paid and nurture email, programmatic, PPC/SEM, content syndication, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of KPI measurement within each stage of the RACE funnel.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital strategy, planning, and execution across display, search, social, mobile, and emerging channels such as connected TV and programmatic.
- Understanding of machine learning, AI, and data utilization in the digital marketing ecosystem.
- Highly numerate; very comfortable with data analysis, with the ability to identify client trends and opportunities.
- Creative thinker able to generate out-of-the box ideas and campaigns for clients.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience and success in engaging and managing vendors, freelancers, and other external partners.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and client-facing presentation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Driven, proactive, enthusiastic team player who thrives in a collaborative culture and fast-paced environment.
Location
Currently, this is a freelance remote/work-from-home position with the potential to transition to full-time employee status. When conditions allow, this position will be based at our offices in Hillsborough, NJ. No relocation is available. Occasional travel throughout the NJ/NY/PA area (and sometimes beyond) may be required in the future.
