Salary Range: $40,750-$51,975 (Based on level of degree and experience. Salary may be enhanced by supplemental teaching.)
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fulfill contractional obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters, and summer courses, as needed.
- Provide excellence in instruction within the Teacher Education Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
- Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
- Provide student guidance and support.
- Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Teacher Education, the Dean of College Pathways and Teacher Education, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in education or closely related field or other master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in education or closely related field.
- K-12 classroom teaching experience required.
- Valid Florida Professional Educator Certificate or are eligible to receive one required.
- Reading Endorsement or are eligible to receive one required.
- ESOL Endorsement or are eligible to receive one required.
- Demonstrated evidence of professional growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
- Proficiency with teaching technologies, including lecture-capture software, such as Camtasia or Kaltura, and familiarity with web-conferencing software to facilitate synchronous online student support preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in Education or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Education.
- Post-secondary teaching experience.
- Demonstrated success with online teaching.
- Experience in student engagement techniques preferred.
