Overall Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Insights the Manager, Insights is the champion of our consumer and shopper supporting the organization’s mandate to lead with the consumer as JWEL improves the world’s health & wellness. Seeking the best and deepest consumer understanding, the incumbent will be responsible for building actionable Insights informing the broader JWEL organization’s strategy and plans while enabling fact-based decision-making across the company.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Uncovers relevant and actionable consumer and shopper insights to drive the achievement of marketing and commercial objectives for the company.
• Works closely with the current Manager, Insights and the Manager, Marketing Analytics in leveraging multiple resources to tell broader stories about our JWEL consumers, and their actions, ensuring that the global commercial team can act upon the insight.
• Working closely with the current Manager, Insights and our research partner to champion the best and deepest consumer understanding through design of primary research studies to support internal stakeholder business decisions
• Develops and delivers brand health assessments to support reporting requirements across JWEL in Canada and internationally in support of the JWEL portfolio of brands’ Innovation and Consumer Communication strategy & plans
• With our research partner or other third-party research suppliers, leads and executes custom research studies which may include: brand equity tracking, creative link testing, qualitative research, usage and attitude studies, digital environment understanding and e-commerce navigation and shopping behaviours
• Comfortable supporting Innovation Process through discovery, consumer immersion, concept evaluation and commercialization/ selling support by uncovering market, brand and category opportunities
• Using a combination of primary, secondary and syndicated tools, identifies, analyzes, interprets and reports on consumer and demographic trends to ensure our brands remain relevant and current
• Other ad hoc projects and reports as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business, Psychology or Economics
• At least seven (7) years’ experience in marketing research/ analytics with custom or syndicated
research suppliers or Insights/ Analytics within health & wellness or other CPG organization
• Experience with primary research tools and in questionnaire design
• Experience with Nielsen products
• Superior presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills
• A strong sense of curiosity, urgency and achievement
• Able to build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Building and leading presentations to diverse external and internal stakeholder groups
• Ability to use data to influence others, including senior management
