Euromonitor’s Consulting Innovation Practice is looking to add an experienced innovation professional to our global, insights-focused team.
The Innovation Practice works on forward-thinking, fast-paced custom market research projects from across Euromonitor’s global teams and clients. This specialized team develops creative approaches and delivers insights through cutting-edge approaches and methodologies. Projects cut across CPG and B2B industries with a focus on future-looking research topics from consumer behavior and trends, to forecast scenario building.
As a project manager, an Innovation Consultant will need to perform the duties of research management, from project set-up, execution and delivery. The ideal candidate will complete projects in collaboration with clients with an innovative approach and style. You will need to have strong entrepreneurial skills with an ability to build out-of-the-box solutions and deliver story-driven, actionable results.
The primary function of the Innovation Consultant will be to successfully manage and execute market research projects. Additionally, this role will expand to other types of projects including but not limited to workshop facilitation, qualitative and quantitative consumer insights, white space thinking, trend analysis and new product development. A proven track record of delivering business value, flexibility, a strong intellectual curiosity and being a collaborative worker are central characteristics for this role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver custom studies by layering a diverse set of research inputs from our existing syndicated market insights, trade interviews, survey, ethnography, bulletin boards and other advanced research techniques.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis that support our recommendations including market segmentation and sizing, market trend and competitive landscape analyses, client portfolio analyses and assessment of changing consumer needs.
- Work with clients in collaboration throughout the research process to ensure core project objectives are met and the relationship with Euromonitor is maintained.
- Deliver timely, thoughtful and thorough projects in an engaging format to clients upon project completion.
- Brainstorm new project design and approaches with Euromonitor commercial teams to discover smart new ways to approach research questions with clients.
- Engage with teams from around the world including country analysts, research and sales colleagues and clients in an inclusive, collaborative and flexible manner.
- Host internal and external share-outs, develop content and support industry discussions that support our thought leadership across the industries.
Requirements
- Ideally 3+ years of high-quality research experience, project management, and/or consulting.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- High level of lateral and strategic thinking with ability to leverage different perspectives to create solutions that challenge conventions while solving consumer and business needs.
- Strong ability to engage and partner deeply with clients.
- Contribute and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand and create compelling, story-driven insights from various data sources.
- Experience creating and validating revenue generating concepts utilizing consumer centric approaches and trusted innovation frameworks (e.g. business model, lean canvas, design thinking etc).
- Commercial acumen and experience with consultative selling techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity in working with various market research methodologies including consumer survey, ethnography, social listening, analytics, focus groups, etc. a plus.
- Additional languages an advantage.
