Requirements:
Language: English
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience: 2+ years of experience in payments, financial analysis, or business analysis within the fintech or financial services industry
Specialization/Other qualifications:
- Strong understanding of payment systems, processors, and associated technologies
- MT, MX files System experience
- SWIFT, Fedwire, ISO20022, RTGS, Clearing & Settlements, Interac Payment system, EFT, Bill Payments, ACH & others.
- Payment products –Dovetail (EPP), Global Payplus, ACI worldwide & FTM suite, Fiserv EPP & UFP
- Channels/Payment injectors, Payment processing engines for International, CHAPS, BACS schemes, Payment Sanctions & Gateway Units
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data effectively
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
Responsibilities:
As an Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst for Banking and Payments at Cogency Inc., you will play a pivotal role in understanding, analyzing, and improving our payment systems and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to identify opportunities for enhancement, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients to identify and document requirements for payment-related inquiries during client engagements
- Analyze payments systems processes identifying pain points, and bottlenecks, and propose customized solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
- Design, develop, integrate, test and implement information systems business solutions together with internal teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and contribute to the development of innovative payment solutions.
- Conduct and participate in testing and quality assurance of payment features to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements for error-free functionality.
- Work closely with compliance teams to provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery to ensure that payment systems adhere to relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in payments to inform business strategies.
- Produce comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate.
