Full-Time Information Systems Director
Job Description
Under the administrative direction of the Ports Finance and Administration Division, the Information Systems (IS) Director plans, directs, and coordinates information system operations and activities for the Port of San Francisco. This includes overseeing system design, development, and implementation, as well as coordinating data and information systems across departments. The IS Director is responsible for the operation and maintenance of these systems.
How to qualify
Education
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; AND
Experience
Seven (7) years of management level experience in development, operations and maintenance of information systems including significant budgetary responsibilities and project management of complex information systems. Experience must include at least three (3) years of experience supervising IS professional staff; AND
License and Certification
Possession of a valid California driver’s license (to be presented at time of appointment). Eligibles reached for employment must be insurable under the Port’s automobile liability insurance. Insurability must be maintained throughout employment.
Substitution
Education Substitution: Additional qualifying full-time work experience as described above may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis for up to two (2) years (One year of work experience is equal to 30 semester or 45 quarter units).
Note: One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
Experience Substitution: Possession of a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute one (1) year of the required experience (but may not substitute for the required supervisory experience).
The normal annual salary range is $171,678 – $219,154
