Salary Range:$65,000.00 To 80,000.00 Annually

General Description

The Individual Giving Manager leads the JCCSF’s fundraising efforts for donors and prospects who give up to $10k to the annual campaign. They maintain a portfolio of 150-180 mid-range donors and prospects who they cultivate, solicit and steward. They conduct high quality prospect and donor research and analysis using a variety of sources and strategies, to provide accurate, timely, and strategic data and information to frontline Development staff with an emphasis on Major Gift Prospects. They maintain data integrity and portfolio moves management, and will create donor correspondence, written materials and a digital strategy for the Annual Campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Annual Fund Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fund strategy to achieve fundraising goals and objectives. Manage 150 -180 donors and prospects a year of people who give under $10K.
  • Donor Cultivation: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with donors to maximize annual giving and increase donor retention rates.
  • Fundraising Campaigns: Plan, execute, and evaluate annual fund campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, social media, and other targeted strategies.
  • Donor Segmentation: Segment donor database to create tailored appeals and communications based on donor preferences and giving history.
  • Donor Recognition: Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship initiatives to express gratitude and foster long-term engagement.
  • Fundraising Events: Coordinate and manage annual fund events, including donor appreciation events, fundraising galas, and other cultivation activities.
  • Celebration Annual Fundraiser: recruitment and solicitation of individual and sponsorships, event support and communications.
  • Prospects: maintain a pipeline of donors identifying prospective donors – determine strategy for each donor and prospect and when to bring in CEO and CDO.
  • Moves Management: develop and implement long range plans for donor engagement and involvement; ensure the quality and integrity of data entered into the fundraising database and maintain significant donor and prospect interactions via Salesforce.
  • Prospect and donor research: analyze, interpret and format biographical, professional, and financial information needed to facilitate the solicitation of annual fund donors as needed.
  • ECE Campaign: develop and track communications, touchpoints including thank-yous and follow up.   Work closely with Development Associate around ECE campaign events and to share bring forward major donor prospects that emerge.
  • Act as ambassador for the JCCSF internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, fundraising, or communications. Advanced degree or certification in fundraising is a plus.
  • Proven track record in annual fund management, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and cultivate donor relationships.
  • Experience with donor database management and fundraising software – Salesforce a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights to drive fundraising strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, board members, and donors.
  • Passion for the JCCSF’s mission and a commitment to philanthropy.

Working conditions

Working conditions are those typical of an office environment. A hybrid work schedule of up to 50% remote work may be available based on the needs of the department and work requirements.

Physical requirements

Position requires seated or standing use of a computer throughout the day, minimal walking and lifting.

Status

Benefited, exempt position.

 

Hours/Schedule

Fulltime 40 hours/week Daytime hours, Monday – Friday. Some evening and weekend hours are required to support meetings and special events.
