Remuneration: Level 6/7 from $96,960 – $115,103 plus 17% Superannuation

Why Your Role Matters:
The UNSW Canberra ICTS team is looking to fill two vacant Infrastructure Systems Officer positions. The first role requires a candidate with network experience, while the second role is for an ICT infrastructure, applications, and security generalist.

The Infrastructure, Applications, and Security (IAS) team at UNSW Canberra, consists of skilled ICT professionals tasked with managing the university’s IT environment. The Infrastructure Systems Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining and securing core IT systems.
Responsibilities:
As a vital member of a small team of ICT experts at UNSW Canberra, the role involves maintaining and supporting ICT infrastructure and systems to ensure high-quality, secure service delivery. Tasks include designing, configuring, and securing network solutions such as switches, routers, and wireless technologies. Effective communication with stakeholders and collaboration with UNSW Sydney IT units are essential aspects of the role, as is escalating and resolving issues as needed.
Who You Are:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and minimum of three years’ experience working within an IT infrastructure, applications, and security management environment, in a university or large organisation with a high volume of work throughput.
- Experience supporting ICT networks, infrastructure and/or systems as well as ensuring their secure operations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced, including effective vendor relations management.
- Well-developed time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.

Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
