Pay Range: $75,000 – $101,470.59

Paid time off includes a progressive PTO program. After 90 days of service, 9 days of PTO which may be carried over to next service year. At anniversary date, 16 PTO days are given. PTO is accrued on a schedule of one additional day per year up to five years, thereafter, one additional day for every two years, to a maximum PTO accrual of 26 days after 16 years of service. Maximum PTO carryover to the following year is current year PTO accrual.

As a leading global manufacturer and supplier of aerospace composite repair equipment, we provide a full range of hot bonders, accessories, technical and training services, and materials for the repair of composite structures.

We specialize in working with Aircraft Manufacturers (OEMs), Defense Organizations, Commercial Airlines, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities by providing them with the expertise and tools to repair composite flight controls and other main aircraft parts. Our experience and knowledge allows us to continuously provide innovate solutions for the advancement of composite repair technology.

About the Position

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager that will participate in developing an engaged workforce by providing leadership and support in the areas of employee relations and performance management, compensation and benefits, recruiting and retention, payroll, and employee safety. This person will support business strategies to improve employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and to ensure legal compliance.

  • Develop and maintain equitable compensation structure and salary administration.
  • Ensure effective employee communication and understanding of total compensation and benefit plans.
  • Assist managers and provide guidance on best practices, legal compliance, and improved decision-making.
  • Administer training program create training plans, and provide training, as appropriate.
  • Manage performance evaluation process and assist managers and leads, as appropriate.
  • Maintain the Company’s best workforce practices and affirmative defense.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies and consult with managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Ensure legal compliance is met with respect to all applicable federal, state, and local laws including Affirmative Action and E-Verify.
  • Maintain employee handbook and job descriptions; manage FMLA leave and federal reporting.
  • Administer, process, and assure accuracy of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Participate in the safety committee; lead safety initiatives and safety training programs.
  • Maintain expected productivity and quality standards that make financial returns possible for the Company to continue to provide excellent service to our customers and job opportunities and career growth for our staff.
  • Provide HR advice and counsel to department managers and employees.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Company’s Human Resources programs and initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and writing performance evaluations; assisting in rewarding and disciplining employees; documenting employment actions, addressing complaints; and resolving problems with the appropriate manager.
  • Support decisions and convey a positive image of the overall management team.
  • Foster an environment that encourages engagement.
  • Supervise Administrative Assistant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Human Resources or Business Administration or Management.
  • Five years of generalist experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Affirmative Action experience.
  • PHR or SHRM certification is highly desired.
  • Strong team player and capable of performing in a fast-paced, small-entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy.
  • Professional attitude and a customer service orientation.
  • Proficient with a personal computer, word processing programs, spreadsheets, and presentation software, and have the ability to type.
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills, and ability to positively and diplomatically persuade and influence change.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional reports and documents, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, prospective employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Must be able to write professional reports, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Must have effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, balance and sit for prolonged periods, balance, speak clearly and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to use fingers, hands and arms to manipulate and shuffle documents, use writing instruments, and type on a keyboard. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10 pounds.
