Full-Time Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Premier Talent Partners is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s legal technology company based in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate should have experience with compensation practices, job leveling, and creating career paths, and must be comfortable working with internal/external legal counsel. This role is remote during COVID-19 until it’s safe to return to the office. As a result, candidates must live within a commutable range of the Oakland, CA area.

Responsibilities:
- Directly advise and provide coaching to managers and leaders on employee relations and performance management matters; empower management to take accountability for personnel needs and challenges within their organizations
- Conduct employee investigations with minimal supervision
- Document and refine our client’s HR’s approach to employee relations, ensuring consistency and efficiency across a variety of situations
- Support the formation, interpretation, and enforcement of company policies
- Partner with the larger HR team to identify and drive process improvements, and support initiatives big and small
- Provide backup staffing on frontline employee support interactions as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of HR experience in rapid-growth startup organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, finely tuned sense of nuance
- Demonstrated experience influencing and collaborating cross-functionally, with consistent attention to detail
- General knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices, ability to apply this knowledge to a relatively unstructured environment
- Software Skills: Must be proficient in Google Suite and have outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office, prior HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) experience is a plus
