Full-Time Human Resources Generalist

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will work with a dedicated HR team and perform duties on a professional level in support of department-specific strategies and the overall mission of the organization.  Key job responsibilities:

  • Work independently to determine appropriate course of action related to employee relations situations.
  • Offer guidance to front line management team in making decisions as they relate to performance management and leaves of absence (as needed).
  • Partner with front line management team concerning team member separation process including review of termination requests; conduct exit interviews; complete administration of all required paperwork.
  • Conduct workplace investigations into claims of employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entries in the HRIS database and maintain confidential personnel e-files.
  • Participate in the design and facilitation of HR related training topics.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives: identify, research, present and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of the HR department and/or company policies.
  • Assist in the onboarding process including I-9 verifications while providing team members with a welcoming and inclusive experience.
  • Assist with HR projects and other duties as requested or assigned.

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • Minimum of five years progressive HR experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
  • Strong experience with employee relations and performance management in a non-exempt workforce.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • HR experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment for a multi-state employer.
  • You must currently reside in one of the following states: AZ, FL, IN, NC, NV, PA, TN or TX

 

Preferred (not required) Education and Experience:

  • HR Certification (HRCI or SHRM).
  • Experience with UKG (UltiPro) HRIS.
  • Prior working experience in a remote environment.
  • HR experience supporting clients in a call center or Business Process Outsource (BPO) environment.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Proficient active listening as well as coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly skilled at prioritizing tasks, excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and results oriented, able to function well in a fast-paced environment and change focus quickly as demands change.
  • Capable of working with sensitive and confidential situations demonstrating tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (highly skilled in Excel).
  • Experienced with HRIS software systems, and capable of quickly learning and efficiently operating proprietary software developed by the company.
  • Must be able to work in remote and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work from home and maintain high-speed broadband internet with router/modem connection meeting requirements of at least 10 Mbps Upload and 10 Mbps Download. (We provide the rest – computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headset, cables, and camera!)
  • Flexible to work additional hours as influenced by business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time
