We are looking for a dedicated individual who is committed to providing a high-level of support and is passionate about reaching under-served communities.
YAC Crawley provides young people (aged 11-25) from Crawley and surrounding areas with information, advice, guidance and counselling services. We are seeking an experienced youth worker to join our rapidly growing YMCA DLG Youth Advice Centre (YAC) team in Crawley.
This role primarily involves providing a wide range of wellbeing support to children and young people (11-25 year-old) old, with a focus on supporting young people with concerns around Housing and Homelessness.
The successful applicant will be experienced in supporting children and young people using a trauma-informed and culturally competent approach, which may suit someone who has previously held a support worker, youth worker or social worker role, or who has worked within a specific remit working with young people from under-served communities.
You will be joining an experienced multi-disciplinary team who deliver support services to young people across West Sussex. You will be located primarily within the Youth Advice Centre, which is part of the YMCA Crawley Foyer building, but you will also be encouraged to develop strong partnerships with other local youth services where you may be able to co-locate.
