Primary Purpose
Reviews, evaluates, and manages the effectiveness of HR Support Services processes. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency and ensures consistency across functional areas. Provides leadership, oversight, and training to the HR Support Services team responsible for maintaining HR services and operations. Provides and manages HR processes and systems in support of HR clients, including HRIS system transactions, training, auditing, and compensation services. Conducts research and troubleshoots issues related to employee or HR data or processes and develops and communicates solutions. Manages various HR projects and programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the administration of HR programs and processes. Provides recommendations, develops tools, and implements solutions.
- Oversees, manages, and develops HR Support Services professionals.
- Provides support for HR systems, including HRIS, market survey systems, and JDX, the job profile system. Extracts data and conducts analyses for the HR department in support of client strategies, workforce planning, various audits, and compensation administration; administers the department’s SharePoint site.
- Provides support for the HR team by managing employee and manager inquiries on programs, processes, and policies. Exercises judgment and discretion in addressing and researching employee inquiries and concerns. Engages appropriate parties in resolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, related field, or equivalent training and experience.
- 5 years – Progressive HR experience, including experience with HR systems and providing solutions to HR-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and exercise appropriate judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Technical ability to obtain proficiency with various HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
- We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year – Supervisory experience.
- HR certification highly desirable.
