HR Reporting Analyst
12 month contract assignment
will be based out of Lake Forest, IL, may be ok to work remotely for now, but goal is to have employees return to office when public health guidelines permit
Primary Function: As the HR Project Analyst, you’ll responsible for the execution our monthly processes to produce reports and metrics for the HR function. You will be asked to support project operations & reporting requests, as well as conduct ad hoc analysis. During this work, we will ask for a continuous improvement lens to increase process efficiencies. Individuals in this role are expected to meet deadlines, understand business needs/requirements and develop flexible, scalable processes to foster change as required by the business.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Analyze raw data to prepare reports and recommendations for management review and decision making
Produce timely and accurate reports for internal and external business partners for their use in making informed decisions to effectively meet or exceed departmental goals
Conduct ad hoc analysis to understand root cause of various challenges and issues presented to the business
Build, manage and improve tools, applications and associated documentation
Translate raw numerical findings into business insights
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business reporting requirements
Document procedures and processes to build a library of solutions
Effectively correlate multiple metrics to tell a holistic story
Collaborate with end-users to answer questions and provide additional insight about specific reports at the appropriate level of detail
Responsible for creating and executing report changes to improve information provided and report generation cycle time
Responsible for daily maintenance of existing reports to ensure all the information is producing the intended results
Responsible for fixing any reports that are not running properly in partnership with HRIS
Assist end users on interpreting reports and access to behind-the-scenes date
Preferred Education & Experience: Proven ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment, and the ability to balance and prioritize work on multiple projects
Must be technologically savvy in order to drive effective and efficient means of analyzing and reporting critical business information
Must be comfortable working with systems such as SAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access
Excellent process improvement capabilities
Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to make and recommend business decisions
Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional demeanor at all times
Experience with data visualization applications (such as Tableau and power BI) would be a plus
Experience with analytic methodologies such as regression, classification, and prediction would be a plus
