Full-Time HR Generalist (Req#1986)
Job Description
The HR Generalist will report to a Sr. HR Business Partner and will contribute to the execution of the company-wide culture and employee experience. This individual will provide a full range of HR services for a large non-exempt population including management consulting, employee relations, employee development, talent acquisition, and talent management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise, guidance and coaching to leaders in managing and resolving highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters for a large population of non-exempt employees.
- Use data and metrics to analyze people issues and trends.
- Consult with management on human resource-related issues. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Maintain an effective level of knowledge about the business unit and understanding of its goals, culture, and competition.
- Work with managers to implement and lead initiatives related to employee engagement and employee development. (Talent Review)
- Participate in establishing plans to effectively communicate business strategies and objectives and implementing change initiatives designed to support those goals. (Goal Setting and business changes)
- Assess and anticipate HR related needs and communicate needs proactively within HR and business management to develop integrated solutions.
- Formulate partnerships across the HR function and with line management, and employees to deliver value-added service.
- Assist with projects support process improvement within the Human Resources department.
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
- This individual will be expected to be a self-starter working under minimal supervision.
- This individual will be accountable for making decisions appropriate for their position and level.
- This individual has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor to other positions.
- This individual will be expected to assess challenges and communicate solutions proactively.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and training
- 3 – 5 years of related Human Resources Business Partner / Generalist experience.
- Demonstrated success as a true partner to managers to drive strategic people-related change in a business.
Skills/Knowledge
- Experience with Talent Management.
- Experience with data analytics and resolution tracking.
- Experience managing high volume, non-exempt employee relations issues preferred.
- Collaborate effectively with and influence peers and other leaders in making business decisions to solve complex problems.
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
- In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees.
- Involvement in special projects and teams by establishing project action plans and executing against plans.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Business acumen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle HR systems.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking abilities preferred.
Working Conditions
Hybrid working environment (remote and onsite), onsite at least 2 days per week, one of which will be every Monday.
Some travel within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire required.
