Job Role: HR Administrator              

Salary: £21,500 – £22,000                

Hours:  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract type: Permanent

Location:   Bath 

The Role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our small HR Team based at our head office in Bath, on a permanent basis. This will be a varied role where you will provide support to both the HR and Volunteer departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in the HR sector, as well as working for an organisation that helps the vulnerable. You will receive on the job training from a supportive team and gain valuable experience across HR.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as first point of contact to provide guidance and advice on basic HR & Volunteering queries
  • Undertake administrative activity in support of core HR processes e.g. induction, training, probation and leaver processes, including completing exit interviews
  • Accurate maintenance of employee records
  • ​Assist with organising the organisations monthly training
  • Ensure that documents are produced, and HR systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner in support of administrative transactions (e.g. leavers, salary increase, change in hours etc.).
  • Manage the onboarding process for all new joiners, completing all pre-employment checks, DBS checks, reference checks and coordinating their induction
  • To provide a full administration service to HR and Volunteering and to internal and external customers.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • ​The ideal candidate would have previous experience working in an administrative role
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines whilst also maintaining a high attention to detail
  • An interest in developing their HR career
  • Highly motivated, good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and writing
  • Previous Experience working in HR is desirable
