We are looking for a highly motivated Manager, Computer Systems Engineering to join our team!
You are a hands-on Manager, Computer Systems Engineering with extensive experience in high performance computing (HPC) systems. You will lead a small but growing team of computer systems engineers in the design and implementation of HPC system that is a crucial part of our product. As our HPC expert, you will develop highly optimized systems using the latest CPU and GPU technologies.
How You’ll Contribute
- Manage and grow a small team of engineers who develop, build, and deploy high performance computing systems that are part of our product.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of HPC system, collaborating with data and engineering teams to define specifications.
- Model, characterize, and tune the performance of HPC systems to achieve the most cost-effective solution.
- Manage the computing subsystem build plan of our product, develop schedules, and identify critical deliverables.
- Identify and manage risks for the computing systems and develop mitigation plan.
- Lead the design and operations of internal R&D HPC environment on premise and in the cloud.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in managing Linux and Windows systems in a high-throughput, data intensive environment, including 3+ years as a technical lead and/or managing a technical team.
- Solid knowledge of HPC systems, storage, high-speed interconnect, and GPU architecture.
- Strong understanding of Linux internals.
- Broad experience with high performance storage systems, NFS, SMB, POSIX.
- Familiarity with system performance analysis, monitoring, and tuning.
- Proficiency in shell scripting. Working knowledge of other languages (e.g. Python) desirable.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
