£24.97-£32.25 per hour, dependant on level of teaching qualification

An exciting opportunity to work with our SEND Team delivering specialist support and assessments for students with support needs, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), and exam access arrangement needs at Abingdon and Witney.
We are looking for vibrant and committed hourly paid tutor to deliver support and conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments and exam access arrangements assessments for students with SpLDs and other support needs.
You should have the ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships with a variety of teams. You will demonstrate confidence and enthusiasm when working with students of varying ability levels.
The right candidates will have the ability to create and deliver support plans for neurodiverse students including areas such as literacy, numeracy, study skills, and assistive software, allowing them to successfully complete their study programme and make progress.
Working in the busy SEND Team, the successful candidate will be able to manage their time effectively and be able to liaise with colleagues and students to identify and prioritise student support, specialist assessments, and exam arrangements.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, digital skills and hold a degree/teaching qualification along with a professional qualification for diagnostic assessment of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) or standardised assessment for Exam Access Arrangements. A current SpLD Assessment Practicing Certificate is desirable. Experience with JCQ exam access arrangements regulations and systems is desirable.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
