Oxfordshire Adult Learning is a large, award winning faculty of Abingdon and Witney College. We aim to maximise access to learning for adults in Oxfordshire, widening participation and transforming the health, social and economic wellbeing of individuals, families and their communities.
Our provision is diverse and includes an extensive range of leisure learning courses, community learning, family learning and accredited courses which lead to recognised qualifications. Our courses are delivered at our College campuses in Abingdon, Witney and Kidlington, as well as in community venues such as village halls and within local schools.
You do not have to be a qualified teacher but must be passionate about your subject area. OAL tutors relish seeing their learners gain confidence in a new discipline or rekindle the enjoyment of a past hobby.
Tutors are responsible for planning courses, delivering inspiring lessons, keeping records of their learners’ progress and participating in development activities to enhance their own teaching, learning and assessment skills. The College offers tutors new to teaching a comprehensive staff development programme to support their journey in their role. Opportunities also exist to gain a recognised teaching qualification.
In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
Closing date: 12th July 2022 (midnight)
