Hospice of Southern Illinois is a not-for-profit, free-standing, community-based hospice offering Southern Illinois and St. Louis Metro-East communities a range of services for people of all ages at the end of life. We have been providing compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their families in their home or a home-like setting since 1981. Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. currently has the following open positions that would be based out of our Belleville, IL Patient Services office:
1. Admission RN
2. Field Staff RN/Case Manager
Requirements for Positions:
• Education
o Graduate of State-approved school of nursing.
o Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Experience
o One (1) year of experience in hospice preferred, but not required.
• Other Qualifications
o Current Illinois nursing license.
o Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred, but not required.
o CPR Certification preferred.
o Excellent clinical assessment, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills.
o A working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, hospice regulations, and third-party payor expectations is preferred.
o We visit our patients wherever they may be located, whether it be in their homes, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, etc. As a result, there is a fair amount of driving associated with the position. A valid driver’s license, current car insurance coverage, and reliable transportation are requirements of the position.
