Job Description
Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2025.
We are looking for a Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme Grant Officer to help support delivery of our fantastic Bristol HAF programme. With the aims of the programme, we work to improve food equality and increase access to activity during the school holidays. This is a great opportunity to join an area of Bristol City Council which work directly with key stakeholders in the city and can make a positive impact with our work each delivery period.
The HAF programme is a Department for Education funded programme which has been made available from March 2021- March 2025 across England. For more detail on the programme and its aims please see the link below – Holiday activities and food programme 2023 – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
We partner with over 60 local organisations, each delivering exciting activity and nutritious meals to 1000’s of young people in receipt of free school meals, across the city each holiday. Your role would be to support these providers through the grants process and ensure that each provider is reaching their full potential with the funding.
Due to the high levels of data generated through the programme, we are looking for someone with experience using excel and can analyse and manipulate data into presentable formats. In addition to this, the role has scope for creativity as we develop the online support available through the programme website (www.yourholidayhub.co.uk). You would have ownership of the website and would be able to develop materials and content as required to suit the programme needs.
The team is made up of the Grant Coordinator and the Grant Officer, which creates a unique opportunity to experience all aspects of project management. This role is perfect for an ambitious Grant Officer or similar role, who is looking for further experience in supporting larger programmes.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check. Please note if you are selected for an interview, references will be requested at this time.
