Job Summary

 

The Program Coordinator II (PCII) provides nurse supervision for the Cowlitz Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program and oversees approved plans of work for the Title V Maternal Child Health Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) program. The NFP program serves pregnant and parenting families experiencing low-income, while the CYSHCN and WorkFirst programs promote an integrated system of care coordination services and supports for infants, children, and youth up to age 18 years who have or are at risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions and require health and related services of a type or amount beyond what is generally needed.

 

Qualifications

This is a part-time (20-hrs per week) position.  This position is currently funded as a 24-month Project position with an end date of 12/31/2023.

 

Education and Experience:

 

The Program Coordinator II position for NFP requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited university and a minimum of two years of experience in the field of maternal-child health nursing. Previous experience working with the Nurse Family Partnership program preferred.  Clinical supervisory experience preferred.

 

Knowledge of:

 

  • The principles and practices of public sector organization and program operations
  • Project management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem solving
  • Methods and procedures of budget development and justification
  • Application and interpretation of County, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to the program area
  • Program analysis and evaluation
  • Policy and procedure development public information
  • Public Health research methods and techniques
  • Trends and practices within the specialized public health area
  • The impact of race (institutional/systemic racism), ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, religion, economic class, education, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, mental and physical ability and learning styles on behavior, attitudes, and values related to health.

 

Other Special Requirements: This position requires a valid WA State nursing license, a valid driver’s license, up-to-date auto insurance, and a successful criminal background check as required by law. It also requires air travel for training in Denver, CO.

Salary Grade: M3.820 ($32.46 – $45.86) per hour
