About the Health Equity Manager role:
This position is responsible for assessing efforts within the health district and the health district service area to improve equitable health outcomes and will be the subject matter expert. The Health Equity Manager will provide visible leadership within the Health District and the community on health equity and the social determinants of health and manages a team of community health workers to work within service area communities with the focus of improved health outcomes.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Two years of progressively responsible and relevant program experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year working in equity/diversity fields and at least two (2) years of experience working in the health and wellness field with diverse community groups.
- Experience with enhancing policy systems and frameworks that address health equity and the social determinants of health. Experience with local and surrounding communities.
