The Organisation
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is seeking a talented individual to join them as their first ever Head of Risk and Internal Audit, and steer risk management and the value of internal control across the organisation.

Key Facts:
You will be responsible for developing the entire risk framework and associated processes.
As the advocate for risk management and the value of internal controls, you will create a culture where the identification of risk and opportunity are embedded.
This post holder will lead AAT’s internal audit function and oversee the outsources audit work. You will have responsibility for creating and managing the Audit Plan, and the scope of any internal audit, to ensure maximum value.
- Full-time, permanent role
- Salary: £71,000 – £80,000 per annum + great benefits which include up to 10.15% employer pension contribution, enhance holiday pay, critical illness etc.
- Hybrid: home-working blended with circa 2 days per week in AAT’s office in Canary Wharf, London.
The Successful Candidate will have experience of:
- Setting up and managing end to end risk frameworks.
- Working to and reporting risk at a senior level
- Developing training plans on risk management
- Spearheading an internal audit function and developing policies and plans

Professional Qualification Requirements
- Relevant qualification in risk management
- Internal Audit Practitioners designation (professionally qualified with a body that is a member of CCAB or IIA)
