Job Description

What will you do? 

This is an exciting new opportunity to lead a technology department delivering business centred digital transformation at pace.

Reporting to the CIO for HMRC’s Customer Compliance Group, this role will work at the intersection of strategy, technology, delivery and stakeholder management.

You’ll be a first-class technology leader with a consistent track record of delivering technology transformation within a complex data driven compliance, detection and investigation environment.

We have one immediately available position, but we are looking to build a pipeline of suitable candidates for future opportunities.

 

How will you add value to the role? 

  • Demonstrable experience of creating business strategy for data driven risking, detection and investigation internal user technology
  • Proven experience of success through inspirational leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Experience of technology-enabled business transformation and embedding cultural change
  • Experience of delivering cutting-edge technology solutions at-scale in complex environments
  • Proven track record of building team capability in a matrix environment
  • An authority on business service development and strong on business analysis
  • Experience of managing suppliers to deliver cost effective end-to-end business services
  • Strong technical experience of commercial and procurement processes

 

Essential Technical Knowledge:  

  • Data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Case and content management solutions including Management Information
  • Knowledge Management
  • Migration of on-premise to cloud solutions
  • Cloud strategy execution
  • IT legacy estate transformation
  • API and micro services architectures, including best practice on securing services from external threat including cyber and criminal attack
