Managing an IT team of around 6 you’ll be leading the team from the front and deliver top-notch customer service. We’ve a third party supplier support contract so a lot of this involves day-to-day colleague IT support across our shops, office and remote workers. That means adaptable colleague interactive service skills are a must!

Working with your Director you’ll lead and represent the IT team when it comes to data protection, IT support and the general running of databases, systems and applications. You’ll make sure our processes work for our business and a lot of the job will be working with your peers across departments, involved in GDPR and data management and integrating any new technology.

What we’re looking for

Having Head of IT (or an equivalent) level of experience means you’ve got the Line Manager experience and you’re capable of demonstrating cross-department working. Our values mean a lot so you’d need to align with these and demonstrate them in all you do.

You’d excel in this role if you’re an IT specialist with leadership, influencing, a teamwork approach and a variety of communication skills that not only get the best out of people but help you deliver tangible results. As you’re involved in GDPR and data management across the organisation you’d need to be able to demonstrate your level of management capability in this area too.

The Logistics

  • Permanent Job: Head of IT
  • Pay: £45,000 – £48,000

  • Hours: 35 hours per week supported by flexible working.

This means that outside of our core Monday-Friday 11am-3pm hours you can suit work around your lifestyle and personal commitments. We operate our work flexibly between 7am – 9pm so you can do things like the school runs or fit in wellness activities and hobbies.

  • Place of work: Home / Head Office (Cardiff City Centre)

With no set weekly minimum Head Office attendance we expect our staff to work in our office together as much as your role requires so being local to our Cardiff Head Office helps. We promote collaborative working and team and cross-department meetings in person as much as possible so flexibility and a willingness to work in person is expected  from our Head of IT
