Head of Customer Acquisition

Reporting to: Trade and Online Marketing Director

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 (60% working from home time offered)

First a bit about the role:

As Head of Customer Acquisition, you will be a key member of the trade team and report directly to the Trade and Online Marketing Director.  You will drive and oversee the overall customer acquisition strategy, execution and budgets and be accountable for customer acquisition, traffic generation and ROI for the business.  You will directly manage a team of Performance Marketing, SEO and Affiliate experts, and will have experience in using brand marketing to acquire new customers.

A bit more about the role:

  • Defining and delivering new customer growth strategy
  • Hold the budget and ROI responsibility for all customer acquisition channels
  • Producing traffic generation goals and forecasts
  • Monitor and analyse performance overall against traffic, CPA and COS goals, and reporting on impact of channel mix evolution
  • Continually make and implement recommendations for optimisation and on-going growth
  • Work closely with our CRM & eCommerce teams to optimise conversion and personalisation on site depending on traffic source
  • Analysing and understanding cross channel attribution as well and closely analysing competitor activity
  • Be a key contributor in driving our data strategy

And now about you:

  • Proven/demonstratable success in a B2C customer acquisition role in an ecommerce environment
  • Solid understanding and, ideally, historic experience of managing performance marketing
  • Strong understanding and experience of working in marketing across key online channels – specifically paid search, but also covering SEO and Affiliate marketing
  • Previous experience of having lead a multi-layered team
  • You must have experience of running a portfolio of traffic generation programs and be able to lead and deliver campaigns
  • Experience with analytics (GA essential, Adobe Analytics beneficial)
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Experienced in managing and motivating a team
  • Clear and concise communicator to senior stakeholders and board level
