Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £83,244 – £90,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week in AAT’s office in Canary Wharf.

What exactly will you be doing?
As Head of Awarding Operations and Compliance, you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team, ensuring that all aspects of AO operations and compliance are delivered effectively and remain compliant.
Major objectives
The key objectives for this role are:
- Assuming the role of Deputy Responsible Officer and deputising for the Director of Education and Development as required
- Providing strategic direction and development of AAT’s compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Ensuring that AAT complies with all regulatory requirements, and their own high standards, through systematic and risk led quality assurance activities
- Leading the annual Awarding Organisation (AO) self-evaluation and compliance submission process
- Ensuring all AO operational functions are operating effectively
- Working as part of the Education Senior Management Team and the AAT Senior Management team, ensure that regulatory and compliance issues are factored into wider strategic developments as appropriate
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced education professional to join AAT’s senior management team. You will be a driven and energetic individual, used to working under pressure and at pace at senior level within an education environment, ideally a regulated Awarding Organisation.
You will have detailed knowledge and experience of the regulated AO landscape, and enjoy the opportunity for debate and challenge on complex educational and compliance issues. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader and line manager, and will be able to balance the complex needs of regulatory compliance against changing corporate drivers

You will join a small, dedicated Education Senior Management Team who leads the AO and play a key role in the development of AAT’s strategy moving forwards.

Interview Date: Main interview date will be Wednesday 15th Feb in Canary Wharf.
