The City of Camas is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Grounds Worker I within the Public Works Department. See attached job description for full details. These positions are full-time, normally work Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, and may work weekend shifts during the spring/summer months.
The positions are eligible for a full benefits package, and are represented by AFSCME, Local 307CC.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- One year of maintenance, construction or grounds maintenance experience is desirable
- Possession of a Class A CDL
- Must obtain a flagging card within 6 months of date of employment
In addition to the job description requirements, the preferred candidates will possess the following attributes: positive attitude, ability to take initiative, excellent customer service skills, good verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills, demonstrated organizational and decision-making skills and flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
