Triathlon England is one of the three Home Nations of British Triathlon, the other two being TriathlonScotland and Welsh Triathlon. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of British Triathlon.
2013 saw the establishment of GO TRI with the aim to provide a low cost and local introduction to triathlon events and training. Since then we have trained 150 event organisers and in season 2016-17 almost 400 events have taken place to date seeing 20,000 people taking part in some form of GO TRI activity. As part of our Sport England Mass Market strategy over the next four years we are excited about further developing GO TRI into the go to place to get into triathlon and multisport. We have a strong product and a strategy in place ready to embed GO TRI as a leading participation programme. We are now seeking a strategic lead who can help us realise our ambition and join us at this exciting time. The GO TRI Strategic Lead will oversee the strategic direction of GO TRI and be responsible for all elements of the strategy. You will drive and develop a GO TRI Community creating a consumer led, relevant and innovative digital platform to underpin the programme alongside building on the current programme to gain scale and reach.
Crucially you will be highly skilled in building and maintaining relationships and have a proven track record and/or knowledge of projects bringing about behaviour change. You will be a creative thinker and have a working knowledge and/or experience of using insight driven campaigns to talk to new audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to join a driven, forward thinking and innovative NGB at a time when we are ready to capitalise on new opportunities to widen the reach and engagement in our sport.
