Job Description
British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.
From the 2nd – 12th August 2018, Glasgow will host the inaugural European Sports Championships.
To be staged every four years starting in August 2018, the European Championships will be a new highlight on the global sporting calendar, elevating the status of European Champions during an 11-day celebration of world-class sport and a packed 10-day broadcast schedule, hosting Cycling, Aquatics, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon, while Berlin hosts Athletics.
All events will be broadcast across the main European networks, including the BBC in the UK.
The Triathlon Competition will take place in Strathclyde Park from the 9th – 11th August 2018 and British Triathlon is looking to recruit a number of Championship time event staff to fulfil key roles over a period of 7 days throughout event week.
Roles vary from Field of Play set up and management, to Athlete Services and Radio Operators within Event Control. All roles will be crucial to the running of the European Championships and the enjoyment of the Age Group and Elite participants, as well as the volunteers, officials and spectators.
