Are we talking to you?
We’re a proud Welsh organisation with a Head Office in Cardiff city centre. As Wales’ leading cancer charity we support over 10% of people diagnosed with cancer each year and our ambition is to be there for many more.
We care, give hope and help people cope through our services across Welsh communities. It’s only through the donations and fundraising from our fabulous supporters that we can make this happen.
So, if you’ve already got great admin skills, handle data well and are motivated by charity fundraising join a growing part of our team as our Fundraising Administrator. This is an area where we raise over £2.3million each year. And, it’s an important job where you’ll make sure our supporter experience is great through our systems and communication working well.
You’ll be the hub of keeping things working smoothly in the Fundraising Team. You’ll be doing things like preparing and sending fundraising packs and materials to our fabulous fundraisers and proudly putting into action our focus on personal thanking and recognition to our super supporters.
To help us steward our supporters in the best way, we’ll need you to keep our systems and databases up to date. This means part of your job will be working with databases, do mail merging and accurate and speedy data entry. So, if you’ve used a database and CRMs already that would be a great advantage in this job.
It’s a job in a busy, exciting, and fun department, that is growing. You’ll have a supportive Line Manager and experienced team to help you grow and develop. But, you’ll need to be proactive, resilient and adaptable and someone who is able to think independently. Having a passion for our cancer cause, fundraising and an enthusiasm to be part of something that makes change for good through your work is an added bonus.
This is an exciting role and extremely people focused. You’re the first point of contact for fundraising queries on the phone or by email and meeting our office visitors so communication such as great listening, understanding and speaking skills is vital. You’ll also help with wider office admin too so a team way of working is something you’d need to demonstrate.
Tell us more about you
Our people are key to our success and we really want the best in terms of skills, attitude and people who share our ambitions and values and can do their job well.
So, we could be a good match if you can demonstrate:
- You’re aligned to our values
- You’ve experience already in working in a busy admin role that requires you to work quickly and be adaptable (if that’s in a charity even better!)
- Top notch customer care and service skills in person, via the phone and in writing
- You’re good with using IT systems and working with data
- A way that you can work with processes and databases (even better if you’ve used a fundraising database such as Raisers Edge NXT before)
- You’ve an eye for detail when it comes to data entry, admin, working accurately and doing things in good time
- You go about things in your role in a sensible way paying attention to the details and being organised
- You’re a team player
