Part-Time Fund Development Officer, NeuroImpact Fund

Job Description

Summary:
The NeuroImpact Fund Development Officer will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective investors and donors interested in providing financial support to innovative epilepsy research and treatments via the NeuroImpact Fund.

The NeuroImpact Fund is a venture capital fund dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the field of neurological research and treatment. In partnership with Iaso Venture Partners, the Foundation aims to drive innovation, fund promising ventures, and support groundbreaking initiatives that have the potential to transform the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy.

This individual will play a crucial role in creating and executing the NeuroImpact Fund’s moves management strategies; growing the investor/donor base; generating revenue and ensuring smooth operation of the fund’s activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor and Donor Cultivation:
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and engage potential investors and donors interested in supporting epilepsy research and treatment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing investors and donors, providing them with updates on fund progress and impact.
  • Organize events, presentations, and outreach initiatives to educate stakeholders about the fund’s mission and opportunities for involvement.
  • Investment Processing:
  • Manage the process of receiving, evaluating, and processing investment proposals from entrepreneurs and ventures focused on epilepsy-related innovations.
  • Coordinate the negotiation and execution of investment agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fund guidelines.
  • Fund Administration:
  • Maintain accurate records of investor and donor contributions, ensuring timely and transparent communication regarding fund performance and activities.
  • Work closely with finance and legal teams to manage fund finances, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, reports, and presentations to showcase the fund’s achievements and attract new investors and donors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • Manage/use a CRM (customer relationship management) database to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports.
  • Experience in venture capital, impact investing, fundraising, or related fields, with a strong understanding of investment principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly in the areas of neurology and epilepsy, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • A passion for making a positive impact and driving meaningful change in the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities/no direct reports.

Salary:

  • $37.77 – $45.32 per hour
