Full-Time Front Office Coordinator II

Job Description

The Front Office Coordinator II works as part of a team fulfilling administrative and financial responsibilities while advocating on behalf of patients. This position is responsible for the overall financial aspect of the clinic’s front office operations.

The position is located in the Midtown area of Atlanta, GA at our AvitaCareClinic (2140 Peachtree Road)

General work hours are Mon – Fri: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. No weekends, holidays, or late evenings!

About the Role:

  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of the front office financial operations
  • Performs various financial projects including and not limited to routine insurance audits, pending authorization follow-ups, billing and coding inquires
  • Handles escalated patient financial matters in a respectful manner
  • Supports patients, or the third-party financial obligations, in developing solutions to meet their financial needs
  • Performs patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Provides exceptional customer service and professionalism
  • Ensures a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and team members
  • Insurance verification (utilizing Waystar and other payer sites as needed.)
  • Explaining insurance coverage to patients.

About You:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred, especially in a health-related field 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Five years experience in a healthcare environment
  • Three years of medical office and medical financial experience
  • Experience in insurance verification preferred
  • Financial Counseling experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel) computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm 
  • Ability to adapt to EMR functionality
  • Experience in eClinical Works strongly preferred.

  • Must have a positive attitude, be energetic, flexible, excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service
