Full-Time Florist/Event Support
Job Description
Florist/Event Support is primarily responsible for processing and organizing flowers, creating floral arrangements, packing, delivering, setting up and picking up events. Perform various sales, register transactions and phone or walk-in orders.
Responsibilities:
1. Processing flowers, greenery and other materials needed for events or weddings.
2. Creating or duplicating floral arrangements, following floral recipes or designing arrangements that follow company standards.
3. Preparing and packing floral arrangements for transportation.
4. Setting up events on location following company standards and event needs.
5. Strike and pick up of events.
6. Perform various sales and register transactions including purchases, processing payments, counting money and able to take and process phone orders.
7. Maintains an awareness of customers to increase service levels; remains current on policies regarding payment and exchanges, customer service, and other applicable operations.
8. Helps with basic housekeeping duties to keep the work room in optimal conditions at all times.
9. Other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older with valid drivers license.
2. High School diploma or equivalent
3. Floral design experience required.
4. Basic flower knowledge.
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Excellent customer service skills
7. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
8. Communicate with customers, Associates, and Management; stand and maneuver around sales floor, stockroom and work room; operate register; lift and carry 50 pounds; process merchandise; climb ladders, reach, push / pull, and clean.
8. Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
